October Louise Reed, 103, of Burlington, formerly of Davenport, died at 12:23 AM Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington. Born October 1, 1915, in Montrose, IA, she was the daughter of David and Myrtle Dresser Wardlow. On November, 23, 1935, she married Lloyd Elmer Reed in Montrose, IA.

He passed on January 28, 1992. October was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.

She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include four daughters, Marcine Jones of Burlington, IA, Sandra Bak of Burlington, IA, Linda (William) Selby of Burlington, Susan Reed of Bettendorf, IA, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Reed, two sisters and one brother.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. There will be no visitation or services.
