Emil Henry Lieb Jr., 64, of Burlington, died at 4:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born February 12, 1954, in Burlington, the son of Emil Henry Sr. and Joyce Whorton Lieb. On June 26, 1993, he married Martha “Marti” Ohnemus in Geode Park.

Emil worked for Pak-A-Way, BlueBird and Deery Brothers. Emil was an honest, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor and was always helping anyone he could with various projects. He was truly a “Jack of all trades”.

He enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds, working on cars and watching wrestling on tv. Emil loved all animals, mostly his cat, Honey. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Shane Lieb, Shawn Lieb, and Steven Lieb all of Burlington; two step-daughters, Michelle (Blaine) Eichhorst of MI and Jennifer (Rodney) Norton of WI; two sisters, Carla Lieb-Stailey of TX and Rosemarie Rude of AZ; several grandchildren; one step-grandson, Caleb Norton; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Hollister. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. The memorial service for Mr. Lieb will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at West Burlington Christian Church.
