Jestine Mayes Eads, age 91, of Siloam, NC, passed away on July 15, 2018. She was born on August 6, 1926 to the late Johnny Edgar Mayes and Lela Hayes Mayes. Mrs. Eads is survived by a son, Harold Eads and special friend, Carolene Willard; a daughter, Ava Tilley and husband, Wilburn Tilley; a grandson, Brandon Tilley and wife, Nichole Tilley; two great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Tilley and Autumn Nichole Tilley; two sisters, Peggy Holyfield and Reynolda Newman; special nieces, Rosa Foster, Jan Culler, Juno Amburn, and Freida Talley; and special nephews, Tony Holyfield, Eddie Brown, Benny Brown, Arnold Brown, and Ferris Simpson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Marshall Eads; two brothers, Ellis Mayes and Lester Mayes; and five sisters, Hazel Mayes, Doris Mayes, Annie Wall, Kathleen Brown, and Christine Pike. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Bro. Don Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Friends Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Jestine’s children would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Village Care of King for their compassion and the loving care given to their mother for the last eight years.
