Jimmy Allen McCracken Of Apache, OK Was born December 25, 1935 in Apache, OK to Alvin Houston and Jessie Pauline (Webb) McCracken. He passed away at his home in Apache on May 2, 2018 at the age of 82. Jim graduated from Apache High school and attended Cameron University.

He joined the US Army National Guard. He went to work at Ft. Sill as a Radar Technician.

He married Joan Pilcher on December 1, 1960 at Ft. Sill. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2008.

After retiring from Civil Service, he and Joan bought the Tasty Cream in Apache and operated it for many years before he went to work at the Radio Shack in Apache. He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Lawton, and had been a member of the Apache Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved to travel.

He was very close to all his family, and enjoyed helping them whenever he could. He is survived by: His son and daughter-in-law- Jeff and Lisa McCracken Oakdale, PA 5 grandchildren- Lauren McCracken, Jeffrey McCracken, Jr.; Garrett McCracken, Matthew McCracken, Lindsay McCracken His sister and her husband- Judy and Red Roberts Apache 2 sisters-in-law- Virginia McCracken Apache Frances McCracken Apache Many beloved nieces and nephews His companion and close friend- Pat McCauley Cement, OK He was preceded in death by: His wife, Joan McCracken His parents, Alvin and Pauline McCracken His step-mother- Bertha McCracken 2 brothers- Bobby McCracken, Alvin “Chub” McCracken Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5th at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Apache with Pastor Kerry Glasgow officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
