Jo Anne Lois Robinson-Mack September 25, 1957 – December 28, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Jo Anne Lois Robinson-Mack, daughter of Anne Robinson and the late Eugene Robinson was born at Columbia Presbyterian on September 25, 1957. She departed this life on December 28, 2018 in Harlem, New York City. Jo Anne attended elementary school and secondary school in the Bronx, New York.

While attending James Monroe High School in Harlem, she worked with a family taking care of their children for a number of years. She provided help for them with much loving care. She attended Mary Mount College in Manhattan, but left after two years to work for the New York City Transit Authority.

She started out as a booth clerk and retired as a Rail Control Supervisor. She worked for Transit for 35 years, starting March 30, 1981 and retiring December 2015. Jo Anne married Adam Mack on June 4, 1986.

Through that union they had two daughters, Naomi and Nikki. Adam predeceased Jo Anne in March 2015. She was an active Girl Scout member from the young age of nine until her late teens.

Jo Anne enjoyed “shopping til she dropped”, she enjoyed buying things for her girls, grandsons, her mother, other family members, and friends to no end. Jo Anne enjoyed traveling, restaurants, and good food. She celebrated her 60th birthday in Las Vegas doing two of the things she enjoyed most, good food and the casinos with her mother.

Jo Anne was predeceased by her husband, her father, Eugene Robinson, and her grandmother, Josephine Guy. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her mother, Anne Robinson; mother-in-law, Vernice Mack; two daughters, Naomi and Nikki Mack; two grandsons, Carrell Wilkerson and Chayce Holmes; sister, Katherine Belton; three sisters-in-law, Janice, Vanessa and Davita; two brothers-in-law, Timmy and Nut; and a host of cousins, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
