Obituary for Joan Carol Bossert Joan C. Bossert, 71, Raytown, MO passed away Nov. 11, 2018. Services will be at 10 am, Tuesday, Nov.
20, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 8812 E. Gregory Blvd. , Raytown, MO 64133; cremation. Visitation will begin one hour before the service at the church.
Joan was born Dec. 13, 1946 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Bishop Hogan High School before earning a B.S. from Central Missouri State Teacher’s College. She began her working career as a teacher and spent a year sailing around the world while tutoring.
She eventually became a graphic artist who worked at the Kansas City Star, Gannett Media in New York and in Columbia, MO. She was a Catholic. Joan is survived by her mother Phyllis Bossert, Raytown, MO; brothers Phillip J. Bossert, Honolulu, HI; William E. Bossert and wife Lois, Horn Lake, MS; Steven V. Bossert and wife Patricia, Shawnee, KS and sister Marilyn Hollar, Raytown, MO.
