Obituary for Glenn Dean Peters Glenn Peters, 73, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Timothy Lutheran Church 425 NW R.D. Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO, 64014. A service will follow at 2 pm at the church.

Glenn was born on September 15, 1945 in Alma, MO to Emil and Edna (Stoll) Peters. He was raised on a farm and moved to the city after high school for work. He spent over 20 years working then retired from Unilever.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trips to his lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks. He considered the neighbors in his cove his “lake family”. Most of all, Glenn loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be remembered by his sons Timothy Peters and wife Amy of Bentonville, AR, Darren Peters and wife Colli of Greenwood, MO, and Andrew Peters and wife Tricia of Billings, MO; sister Sandra Schroeder of Higginsville, MO; brother Clyde Peters and wife Arleen of Alma, MO; and sister Marilyn Schmidt and husband Chuck of Alma, MO; grandchildren Charicia, Brandon, Cory, Alison, Megan, Shelby, and Colton; a host of extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to H8 Cancer Foundation.
