Joan Lusk Powell, 77, wife of the late William Davis “Billy” Powell, of 330 Country Junction Road, West Union, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019, at her residence. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Powell was the daughter of the late L. B. and Nellie Stephens Lusk. She was a member of the Ebenezer Community Club and Welcome Wesleyan Church.

Mrs. Powell is survived by a brother: Mason Leroy Lusk (Lois) of Walhalla, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom Joan loved as her own children. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her twin brother: Johnnie Lusk. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00–11:00 AM, Saturday, prior to the service at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Fostering Faithfully, 905 East Main Street, Walhalla, SC 29691. The family will be at their respective homes.
