Mary Louise Alexander Head, 90, wife of the late Maurice Lem Head, of 314 Shady Acres Drive, Salem, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Morningside of Seneca. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Head was the daughter of the late Bea Alexander, Sr. and Zettie Grant Alexander. She was the owner of the Salem Department Store and a member of Salem First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Head is survived by her granddaughter: Leigh Casey Roach of Salem brothers: Bea Alexander, Jr. of Salem and Bruce Alexander of Easley; sisters: Helen Campbell of Seneca and Betty Broach of Seneca. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Head was preceded in death by her daughter: Diane Head; son: Gregory Maurice Head; and brothers: Curtis Alexander, Charles Alexander, and James Alexander. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Oconee Memorial Park.
