Mack Ray Moore, 74, husband of Sarah Hubbard Moore, of 110 Coppermine Road, Mountain Rest, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Frank Crosby Moore and Leona Adams Moore Brandt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1964-1993.

Mr. Moore retired from Michelin Tire Company. He was a board member of the Mountain Rest Community Club, former Chief of the Mountain Rest Rescue Squad, former Chief and treasurer of the Mountain Rest Fire Department, Past Master of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92, Clemson York Rite Bodies and was a Hejaz Shriner. Mr. Moore was a member of Mountain Rest Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Moore is survived by his sons: Steven M. R. Moore (Sandra) of Westminster and U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) B. Scott Moore (Sharyn) of Palmetto, GA; daughter: Audrey S. Armendariz (Juan) of Mountain Rest; brothers: George Moore of Walhalla and Stanley Moore of Fair Play; sisters: Lucy Brandt of Walhalla, Ruby Roach of Walhalla and Ellen Adams of Walhalla; and ten grandchildren: Joshua Moore (Maygan), Bradley Moore, Laura Ann Moore, Anna Marie Moore, Callahan Moore, Ashleigh Moore, Chase Moore, Autumn Moore, Spear Whitaker and Mason Whitaker. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Mountain Rest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 PM, Sunday, prior to the service, at the church.
