Joan’s Obituary Joan M. Jenkins, age 76, of Millsboro, DE went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2019. Joan was born in Millville, DE April 26, 1942, daughter of the late, Bennie Chandler and the late Catherine (Banks) Chandler. She retired as an assembly line worker for Arrow Safety in Georgetown, DE in 2010.

Joan was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking family and Christmas dinners. She was also a member of the Abundant Life Christian Church in Laurel, DE. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Roland, Preston and George Chandler; her twin sister, Jean Robinson and a sister, Ruth Gum.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Edgar R. Jenkins, Jr.; a daughter, Carol Jenkins and her canine companion, Nick. Joan is also survived by a brother, Virgil Chandler; two sisters, Joyce Tubbs and Carolyn Moore and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Banks Family Cemetery in Millville, DE.
