Joanne Fecso ( nee Maskall ), 67 of Highlands, formally of Perth Amboy and Metuchen, passed away peacefully in her bed at her home, in her son’s arms . She was born on Orthodox Easter Sunday, and reposed in the Lord during the Paschal season, following her battle with cancer. Joanne was a lifetime communicant of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Perth Amboy, and served her church as a parish auditor and PTA secretary.

She graduated from Perth Amboy High School, and attended Middle County Community College. for many years, her husband Al traveled for work as a construction superintendent, and Joanne lived and worked where he was at in many states including West Virginia, Indiana and Texas. After that she worked as an underwriter for JP Morgan Chase for many years.

She was incredibly outgoing and kind, and made new friends everywhere that she went, especially while shopping or walking her dog! Her family, friends, and neighbors will greatly miss her pleasant conversations, sharp wit and infectious smile. She is predeceased by her loving parents Stephen and Anna ( nee Mucisko ) Maskall.

She is survived by her husband Allan R.; beloved mother of Danielle and her husband Robert Bartko and Adam Fecso; “Grammy” is also survived by her four grandchildren Adrianna, Anna, Kataryna and Aiden . We begin to leave on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a Divine Liturgy at 10 am at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.

Visiting is on Sunday from 2 ~ 6 pm with a Parastas Service at 5:30 pm.
