Cremation arrangements for Joe Adkinson, 86, are under the direction of Croley Funeral home in Gladewater. A memorial graveside will be held at a later date. Mr. Adkinson passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, in Gladewater.

Mr. Adkinson was born September 16, 1931 in Tracey, Oklahoma to the late William Henry Adkinson and Clara Mae Parish Adkinson. Joe was a hardworking and devoted family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends when not at work.

Joe is survived by his wife Helen Higginbotham; son Jimmy Adkinson; daughters Pam Adkinson and Vicky Dudley; sister Emma Jean Lyons; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Clara Adkinson and a son Carl Adkinson.
