Joe Probasco, 104 of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Funeral services will be Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00am in the chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta with Dr. William Camp officiating. Burial will be at 12:30pm in Marietta National Cemetery.

Joe was in WWII as a Navy Seabee, a longtime member of Roswell Street Baptist Church and retired from Lockheed after 28 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Autrey Probasco, daughters Darlene Williams (Read), Karen Baker (Allen), Kathy Chappell (Bill) and Melanie Metcalf (Tom), 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Austgen Probasco, his parents David and Cuma Childs Probasco, sisters Elizabeth Probasco Julian, Phyllis Probasco Swing, one brother Ray Probasco and granddaughter Jill Williams Godwin.

Donations may be made to Roswell Street Baptist Church or Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Joe Probasco please visit our Sympathy Store.
