Lillian McElvey Cumbaa, 93 of Marietta passed away on January 22, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Cumbaa was predeceased by her husband, Jack P. Cumbaa, Sr; son, Jack P. “Jackie” Cumbaa, Jr. and daughter, Carol Lynn Cumbaa Davis. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Ms. Cumbaa was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and graduated Columbus High School in 1943.

She moved to Cobb County in 1953 and joined First Baptist Church of Marietta the same year. She was a member of the Phebian Sunday school Class, Ladies Tuesday Morning Prayer Group, Charter member of Cup of Kindness and she volunteered as a Poll Worker for Cobb Board of Election for many years. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
