John C. Crank Jr., 61, Loving Father, Grandfather “Poppy”, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend went Home to be with Jesus on November 28, 2018 in Lansing, MI. He was born August 19, 1957 in Kalamazoo, MI, son of Rev. John C. Sr. and Sue (Patrick) Crank.

John was kind, compassionate, witty, “the funniest man he knew”, selfless, incredibly affectionate, and had a kind serving heart.

He will be greatly missed by all who know and love him. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Rev. John C. (Joy) Crank Sr, his children: Johnny (Angela) Crank III, Stephanie (Christopher) Beck, and Stephen (fiancé Nicole Young) Crank; sisters Bethany (Michael) Brown and Melody Crank, brother-in-law Randy Ringler; grandchildren: DeLana Crank, Zayne Crank, Keeden Beck, Abbegale Beck, Elijah Fuller, and Zachary Crank.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Crank and sister Kimberly Ringler. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Capitol City Church of God, 6228 Bishop Road, Lansing, MI 48911, with Rev. Garry Patrick officiating.

Visitations will be held Sunday, December 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge and 1 hour prior to service at the church.
