John’s Obituary John C. Kitner, 74, of Dillsburg, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at his home. He was born January 6, 1945, in Dillsburg the son of the late John S. and Florence R. (Lenker) Kitner. John was a self employed electrician and previously worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #143, Harrisburg and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Life in Christ Fellowship, Dillsburg and the Dillsburg American Legion, Post #26. John was very active in the Dillsburg Farmers Fair Association and served on its committee for 34 years. John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Thelma A. (Plyler) Kitner; three sons, John Clark Kitner and his wife Judy of Mechanicsburg, Kenneth D. Kitner and his wife Tammy L. of Dillsburg, Mark A. Kitner and his wife Tammy S. of West Virginia; one brother, Jacob Kitner of Dillsburg; six grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Kayne, Haley, John, Derek; five great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Juliet, Justus, J. Rene, and Jolene.

John was preceded in death by a sister, Amber Myers. Services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Burial will be held in the Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry.

Viewings will be held Friday from 6-8 pm and again on Saturday from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Life in Christ Fellowship, 101 Beaver St., Dillsburg, PA 17019 or the Dillsburg Farmers Fair Association, P.O. Box 502, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
