John C. Stitt, 80, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center, Hanover, PA. Born March 20, 1938, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Ruth (Turner) Stitt of Hanover, PA and the late Ray Stitt. John was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Sullivan) Stitt with whom he shared thirty-six years of marriage.

John retired in 2002 from the South Western School District, having worked as a custodian at E.H.M.I.S. for over thirty years. He was a member of the Hanover Moose Lodge #227. A funeral service to celebrate and remember John will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev.

Bonnie J. Whittier officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
