John J. Graf, age 69, of Woodstock, passed away June 4, 2018 in Barrington. He was born on July 2, 1948 in Chicago to Melvin and Betty (Ford) Graf. He married Patricia Brandt on July 1, 1948.

John was great at woodworking, building many things for his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, skeet shooting, snowmobiling up north and camping. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and enjoyed racing cars.

He loved working with his dogs training them obedience which confirmed a bond based on mutual trust, respect and affection for both dogs and their families, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. John is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, son Jonathan Graf, daughters; Brandy Graf and Kirsten (Jay) Evangelista, grandchildren; Jayden and Jackson Evangelista, niece and nephews; Nicole, Kenneth III and Karl Brandt, sister-in-law, Patricia Brandt and brother-in-law Kenneth Brandt Jr He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 11am until the funeral service at 1pm at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave. , Woodstock, IL 60098. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Patricia Graf for designation at a later date.
