John’s Obituary John R. Giebudowski, 81 of Conover, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side. John was born in Justice, Illinois on Sunday, July 25, 1937, the son of Joseph and Victoria (Figura) Giebudowski. John Lived in Justice, Illinois.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959 until 1963. He was united in marriage to Ruth Schall in 1965. John was employed at Corn Products in Argo, Illinois and was a Welder at General Electric and Electric Motors.

He also had been a Welder for the Deep Tunnel Project and had been employed with Polic Brothers Welding Company. John and Ruth moved to Conover in 2001 where they have lived ever since. John was a member of the EAA and was a certified EAA Mechanic.

He enjoyed refurbishing Piper Cubs and PA12’s. John loved aviation wether it was putting together model airplanes or flying planes from Lake Village Airport in Lake Village, Indiana or from Lambert Airfield in Bolingbrook, Illinois. In his younger years, John was a Dance Instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

In the mid 1950’s, John raced Midget Stock Cars at the Santa Fe Raceway in Willow Springs, Illinois. John enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Ruth, children; Richard Giebudowski of Orland Hills, Illinois, Mark (Shyla) Giebudowski of Manitowish Waters, Gary Giebudowski of Conover, and David Giebudowski of Conover.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parernts; Joseph and Victoria Giebudowski and by four brothers and one sister.

At John’s request there will be no visitation and services will be private.
