85, of Johnston, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at home. For 63 years, he was the cherished husband of Maria (Cipressi) Bordieri. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John & Nancy (Del Ponte) Bordieri.

John worked as one of the premiere jewelry manufacturers in the New England area, owning Empire Jewelry and Jiani, Inc. in Providence with his twin brother Joseph Bordieri. John was an avid golfer and long time member of The Alpine Country Club. He was a lover of all things sweet and a devoted family man.

John served as an airman in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was the loving father of the late Karen Remolina and her husband Enrique of Austin, TX, daughter Cathy Gaskin and her late husband Stephen of Johnston, son David and his wife Brenda of Lincoln. He also leaves 3 grandchildren – Amy Gaskin of Los Angeles, CA, Stephen Gaskin, Jr. of North Providence and David Bordieri, Jr. of Lincoln.

He was the brother of the late Paul Bordieri and his wife Carol of Cranston. He is also survived by his twin brother Joseph Bordieri of Boca Raton, FL and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His visiting hours will be held at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave.

Cranston on Tuesday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life at his beloved Alpine Country Club 251 Pippin Orchard Rd. Cranston on Wednesday at 10am.
