Obituary of John Grilla John Michael Grilla, 32, of 2706 Tompkins Road, Jamestown, died unexpectedly Monday, January 14, 2019 in his home. He was born in Jamestown on July 8, 1986 and was a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School. John had been employed by BAC Paving in Hermitage, TN before more recently moving back home to Jamestown.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved animals. Surviving are his parents, John and Martha Grilla, Jr. of Jamestown and Theresa and Billy Ferguson of Boston, NY; five siblings: Danielle (Jacob) Carrier of Clarksville, TN, Kate Ledbetter of Jamestown, Brian Smith, Jr. of Ft. Campbell, KY, Alyssa Everett of Long Island and Cody Everett of Jamestown; maternal grandparents: Art and Karen Christian of Lakewood and William and Barbara Wigley of Gerry; as well as several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Ricky Elardo of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Vecla Grilla and his dog, Daisy. The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, with Deacon Samuel Pellerito officiating. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service, from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
