Obituary of Carolyn Knowlton Carolyn L. Knowlton, 74, of 476 Falconer St., Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 in her home. She was born Dec.

7, 1944, in Youngsville, PA, a daughter of the late Hubert N. and Marion White Trask. Before retiring in 2004, she was a cook at the former Manor Oak Skilled Nursing Facility. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and her garden gnomes.

She was an avid lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was one of the original members of the local Monday night pool league. One of the things she will be remembered for is making and decorating a cake for each family member on their birthday. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Willard “Tex” E. Knowlton, whom she married March 10, 1978; three children: Carol (John) Walker, John (Vicky) Knowlton, Christa (Mark) McKay; six grandchildren: Jennifer Geraci, Jessica Platt, Amanda Clutter, Dakota Knowlton, Conner and Riley McKay; six great grandchildren: Preston Platt, Jaedyn Geraci, Adriana Platt, Eva Knowlton, Zach and Leanna Clutter, a brother Ralph Trask; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: William, Neil, David, and Hubert R. Trask; and two sisters: Orabelle Jewell and Gertrude Esterline. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 in the Lind Funeral Home.

The Rev. Adam Rohler will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service (from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.) in the funeral home.
