Johnnie Lawson Autrey, age 90 of Wears Valley, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. Johnnie was born September 1, 1928 and was a lifelong resident of the Wears Valley Community. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the church choir.

She was also an old harp singer for the majority of her life. Johnnie drove a school bus for 7 years for the Sevier County School System and was owner of Autrey’s Antiques in Wears Valley. She was preceded in death… Read More » by her parents J. Newton and Viola Lawson; her husband of 49 years James Alvin Autrey and numerous brothers and sisters and their spouses.

She is survived by her daughter Monica Vadeboncoeur and husband Paul; son Alvin Eugene Autrey and wife Becky; grandson Ted Newman and wife Teri, Daniel Autrey and wife Jina; great-grandchildren Thomas Newman, Tucker Newman, and Allison Autrey; sisters Aureta Whaley, Floy Rose Headrick; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Sunday, December 30th, with funeral service to follow at 3 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev.
