Mr. Johnny Carroll Lynskey, Sr., age 76, of 3103 Old US 29, Pelham, NC, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, NC. He was born on January 01, 1943, in Danville, VA, to the late Martin Lynskey and Ollie Mae Moss Lynskey. Before his retirement, Mr. Lynskey worked as a loom fixer in Dan River Mills, and he was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church.

He was famous for his stew making skills. He is survived by his children, Johnny Carroll Lynskey, Jr. and wife, Karen; Delores Evans and husband, Ricky; Alan Lynskey and wife Regina; and Debbie Wyatt; grandchildren, Patric Lynskey (Shaylynn), Greg Wyatt, Adam Evans (Casey), Paul Evans, and Felisha Lynskey; great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Lynskey and Lyvia Hope Lynskey; and siblings, Gary Lynskey, Anne Lovell, William Lynskey, Carl Lynskey, Brenda Barker, Mary Maxie, Joyce Scearce, and James Lynskey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lynskey was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Evans Lynskey; and siblings, Thomas Lynskey, Steve Lynskey, and Margaret Ketchum.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McGough officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and at other times will be at the residence. Interment will follow the service in the Lynskey Family Cemetery located on the Lynskey Farm Road, Danville, VA.
