Mrs. Sally Boyd, age 93, of 219 Lawrence Rd. , Milton, NC and formerly of 1957 Moorefield Bridge Rd. , Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 09, 2019 at SOVAH Health Danville.

She was born on January 28, 1926, in Danville, VA, to the late John Leroy Payne and Valerie Stone Payne. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Turpin (late husband, William Turpin), of Milton, NC; grandchildren, Timothy L. Sage and wife, Janice, of Danville, VA and Carrie Teresa Maison, of Herndon, VA; great-grandchildren, Lily Maison and Ellie “Pepper” Maison; step-grandson, Kenneth Osborne; and sister, Margaret Marshall.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Boyd. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Yeaman officiating.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mrs. Boyd’s niece, Wanda Evans, 115 Longview Ave.
