Troy Lee Boughman, 82, of 135 Wilbur Webster Road, Yanceyville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, after being in declining health for the past six months. Troy was born in Burke County, NC, on September 12, 1936, a son of the late Ernest L. Boughman and Pearl Cardwell Boughman. He was a graduate of the former Drexel High School.

Troy had lived all of his life in Burke and Caswell Counties. He had retired from Caswell Lumber Company where he worked as a truck driver. He was of the Baptist Faith.

On October 3, 1963, Troy married Carol Marie Webster Boughman who predeceased him on July 10, 2014. Troy is survived by one daughter, Connie Lee Barnett of Morganton, NC; a step-son, John Clyde Fuqua, Jr. and wife Larisa of Eden, NC; two grandchildren, Brandy Harris and husband Brian and Anthony Fuqua and former wife, Olivia; and four great grandchildren, Graham Harris, Abigail Harris, Alexander Fuqua and Jewell Marie Fuqua. He was predeceased by his wife and two brothers, Vernon and Luther Boughman.

A Private Memorial Service for Troy will be conducted on a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the residence from 5:00-7:00 PM. Wrenn-Yeatts Yanceyville Chapel is respectfully serving the Boughman family.
