Murphy Donald Lovelace September 02, 1941 – February 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Murphy Donald Lovelace, 77, of 3092 West Sunrise Drive, Dry Fork, VA, passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at SOVAH Health, Danville, VA. Born September 2, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late Moses Hampton Lovelace and Polly Petty Lovelace. He was married to Roberta Lovelace, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Roberta Lovelace, of the residence, survivors include one daughter, Gemelia Jones (Michael) of Dry Fork, VA; one son, Stuart Lovelace (Vickie) of Danville, VA; three sisters, Odaris Tyner of Maryland, Jean Smith of Fayetteville, NC, and Polly Wilson (Lowell) of Axton, VA; four brothers, William Lovelace (Ola) of Dry Fork, VA, Edward Lovelace of Philadelphia, PA, George Lovelace and John Lovelace both of Danville, VA; one aunt, Ossie Johnson of Danville, VA, who is the last survivor of their generation, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Joel Lovelace. The family will receive friends at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 1 PM from Bethel United Way of the Cross with Bishop John Campbell, Eulogist. Family visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 4-8 from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Lovelace family.
