Logan, Sr., 88, of 1856 Fall Creek Drive, Danville, VA, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Piney Forest Health & Rehabilitation Center, Danville, VA. Born July 13, 1930 in Pittsylvania County, VA he was the son of the late Ross and Rebecca Jones Logan. He was formerly married to the late Ida Hamm Logan and Beatrice Stackhouse Logan.

He was married to Delores Lawrence Logan, who survives. He was Pastor of New Jerusalem Pentecostal Faith Church, Java, VA. In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include two daughters, Darlene Saunders (Linwood) of Williamsburg, VA and Trina Carter (Ron) of Charleston, SC; four sons, Melvin R. Logan, Jr. (Debra) of Greensboro, NC, Deacon Hugh Logan, Sr. (Sandra) of Danville, VA, Robert Stackhouse of Charleston, SC and Anthony Lynch of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Ernestine Davis (Gene) of Landover, MD, Marion Dunn of Capital Heights, MD and Novella Lewis of Halifax, VA; one brother, Leroy Logan (Naomi) of Woodford, VA; a devoted niece, Pastor Mary Ann Jones of Danville, VA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parent, he was predeceased by one son, Angelo Logan; four brothers, Onis Logan, Sr., Augusta Logan, Garland Logan and Elbert Logan. The family will receive friends at the residence of his niece, Mary Ann Jones, 418 Oak Forest Cr. , Danville, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with Bishop Melvin Phillip, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the New Jerusalem Pentecostal Faith Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home from 4-8 PM.
