Wendy Ann Nester Cook, 46, of Danville, VA died on Sat, May 11, 2019 at Sovah Health after being in declining health for the past year. Wendy was born in Danville on April 4, 1973, daughter of Donald Wayne Nester and Shirley Ann Price Allen. She spent all of her life in the Danville and Pittsylvania County areas where she was a graduate of Dan River High School.

Wendy was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets. In addition to her father and mother, Wendy leaves behind daughter, Crystal Nester of Vernon Hill, VA; sons, Christopher Cook and Tommy Cook, Jr. both of Danville; sisters, Pamela Allen and Mary Nester both of Danville; brother, Donald Nester, Jr. of Danville; granddaughter; Maddie Bohannon of Vernon Hill, VA; ex-husband, Tommy Cook, Sr.; special uncle, Whil Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel.

Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence of her mother, Shirley Allen and sister, Pamela Allen, 260 Loop Rd, Keeling, VA 24566. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is respectfully serving the Cook family.
