Mary Magdalene Carter Thomas February 19, 1924 – May 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Mary Magdalene Carter Thomas, 95, of 327 Airport Drive, Danville, VA, passed away, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA. Born February 19, 1924 in NC, she was the daughter of the late Walton Carter and Susan Irving Carter. She was married to the late Bernard Lee Thomas.

Survivors include ten daughters, Marylyn Johnson, Rebecca Thomas, Cynthia Thomas, Linda Thomas, Sharon Thomas, Teresa Thomas and Sylvia Thomas all of Maryland, Sandra Thomas and Barbara Thomas of Danville, VA and Bernetta Renee Thomas of Alexandra, VA; one son, Melvin Thomas (Thelma) of Maryland; two sisters, Ada Gholston of Maryland and Rebecca Scott of Richmond, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ida Logan and Dorothy Carter; three brothers, Irving Carter, Hiawatha Carter and Walter Carter, Jr. The family will receive friends at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 12 Noon from East New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev.

Rufus Fuller, III, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Viewing will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4-8 PM from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home.
