James Ansel White, Jr, 96, of 2165 Old NC Hwy. 86 N. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 after being in declining health for the last ten years. Mr. White was born on February 14, 1923 at home in Caswell County, a son of the late James Ansel White, Sr. and Ada Coleman White.

He had lived his entire life in Caswell County where he was a graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School. Mr. White had owned and operated the former J.A. White Trucking Company, Inc. for over 50 years at the time of his retirement. He also farmed and raised Tobacco.

Mr. White was a member of the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church where he had served as Elder. He was a very loving and dedicated husband to his wife, the late Jeanette Cocke White who died on January 11, 2014. Mr. White was very supportive of his sons in everything that they were involved in growing up.

Mr. White is survived by, three sons, James A. (Jimmy) White, III, of Yanceyville, NC, Richard C. (Ricky) White, (Doris) of Myrtle Beach, SC and William C. (Bill) White of Yanceyville, NC, five grandchildren, Felicia Yarbrough, Ava White, Michael White, Jason White and Natalie Gavitt and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife and two sisters, Isabelle Rice and Stella Wrenn. Funeral Services for Mr. White will be conducted on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Jimmy Davis & Reverend Sam Jenkins.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and at other times they will be at the residence, 2165 Old NC Hwy. 86 N, Yanceyville, NC.
