Evelyn Lavonne Warner Boaz, 89, formerly of 132 Ruskin Street, Danville, VA, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center after a decline in her health for the past seven years. Evelyn was born in Danville, VA on March 27, 1929, a daughter of the late George Leftridge Warner, Sr. and Ada Frances Forrester Warner. She lived her entire life in Danville and retired from Harris Teeter as Head Bakery Clerk.

She was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Brethren, on Westover Drive. On July 29, 1958 Evelyn was married to the late Harry Thomas Boaz, he died on December 15, 2004. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, George L. Warner, Jr. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Kathy Boaz Tate, of Dry Fork, VA; two grandsons, Mark Hodges and Daniel Tate; and two great grandsons, Silas Hodges and Isaiah Hodges, all of Dry Fork, VA.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Curtis English officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. and at other times at the Kathy Tate residence, 1857 Silas Dodd Lane, Dry Fork, VA. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Boaz family.
