Mrs. Helen Marie Cole Watlington, age 84, of 667 Holland Rd. , Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 06, 2019 at her residence. She was born on May 18, 1934, in Mt.

Airy, NC to the late Luther Andrew Cole and Edna Ruth Hooker Cole. Before her retirement, Mrs. Watlington worked as a manager for the Laundromat in Cain Creek and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, Danny Watlington and wife, Julie, of Danville, VA; sisters, Mae Cornell (Jerry), of Ringgold, VA and Delores Murphy (Mike), of Danville, VA; grandsons, Benjamin Watlington, Cody Watlington, and Nevada Watlington; granddaughters, Brittany Tucker and Brandy Shepherd-Walker; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watlington was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Lee Watlington; son, Michael Watlington; sisters, Ruby Isom and Doris Guill; and brother, Boyce Glenn Cole. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 09, 2019 at Stateline Baptist Church with Rev. Gilmore Hundley, Rev.

Steve Zimmerman, and Rev. David Bunch officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 08, 2019 at the church.
