Born October 11, 1933 in Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Wilson and Makie Hairston Wilson. She was married to the late Charles Henry Holdness, Sr. Survivors include six daughters, Linda S. Henry (William) of Brooklyn, NY, Sharon D. Wilson of Apex, NC, Karen D. Hunter (T.

J) of Lynchburg, VA, Constance A. Walker (Harry), Jean E. Plunkett (Robert) both of Danville, VA and Fredricka Poole of Martinsville, VA; two sons, Saunders Wilson (Patricia) and Charles H. Holdness, Jr. (Robin) both of Danville, VA; one sister, Margie Wilson (James) of Danville, VA; one brother, David Mac Wilson of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two siblings, Willie Mae Farmer and Roosevelt Wilson. Family will receive friends at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2 PM from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Larry Love, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4-8 PM.
