Johnny Daniel Carter, Sr. September 01, 1926 – March 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Johnnie Daniel Carter, Sr., 92, formerly of 1048 Kentuck Road, Danville, VA, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at SW Residential Services, Danville, VA. Born September 1, 1926 in Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late James M. Carter and Fannie Wilson Carter. He was married to the late Christine Bruce Carter.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and the last survivor of his generation. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Logan (Ernest) of Danville, VA; one son, Johny Carter, Jr. (Maxine) of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by six siblings, Othelia Ferrell, Nora Stamps, Mayola McCain, Spencer Carter, Henry Carter and Sidney Carter.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his daughter, Linda Logan (Ernest) at 109 Rover Ridge Dr., Danville, VA. Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced when completed. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Carter family.
