Frederick Lawrence Slade September 07, 1939 – March 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Frederick Lawrence Slade, 79 of 418 Broad St., Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Chatham Health & Rehabilitation Center, Chatham, VA. Born September 7, 1939 in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Harry and Azzarie Benson Slade. He was the last survivor of his generation.

Survivors include two daughters, Lauren F. Harrison and Stacey Slade both of Danville, VA; two grandchildren, Destiny Barley and Hydia Barley both of Danville, VA; one great-grandchild, Kingston Boyd and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother. William Slade.

The family will receive friends at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan L. King, Sr. Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. Family visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6-8 PM from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Slade family.
