Jonathan’s Obituary Jonathan Brian Scott passed away at 48 years old, on December 29, 2018, at his home in Juneau. Jon was born February 10, 1970, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Dr. James R. Scott and Carol Scott. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James R. Scott; his sister, Shari Henkelman; and his spouse, Ellen Scott.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Scott; brother, Robert; sisters, Christy and Karen; four nieces and one nephew. Jon was an avid skier, attending the Glacier Creek Academy and enjoying the slopes of Alyeska. He also enjoyed wood carving, which he learned from his father.

Jon was also noted for his cooking skills. He worked in the painting and construction industry, in Anchorage, Ketchikan and Juneau. He enjoyed fishing the Deshka River and his dry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

The family is requesting that any memorial bequests be made to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center, 15510 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99516. A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
