Obituary for Joseph D. Adante Jr. Joseph D. Adante Jr., 76, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lucy (Cuomo) Adante for 35 years. Joseph was born on August 7, 1942 in New Haven to the late Romilda (Vitaletti) Adante and Joseph Dominick Adante.

Joseph graduated from West Haven High School and received a degree in Industrial Administration from the University of New Haven. He served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard. He was known by many from his time working at Jimmies of Savin Rock in West Haven.

He later worked as a personnel manager at the Fermont Division DCA in Bridgeport and human re manager at Owens-Illinois in Bridgeport. Joseph was a man of faith and loved spending time with his family. Father of Joseph (Kayce) Adante, Christopher Adante, Anthony (Amanda) Adante, and Gina (Stephen) Adante Comeau.

He loved his children very much and he also leaves behind one grandchild, Anthony Adante, who brought him so much joy. He is survived by his sister Gloria (Edward) DeNardis, brother-in-law Henry Valalik, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends who were like family. He was brother to the late Elizabeth Valalik.

Joseph was an honest, generous, caring man who was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home, 662 Savin Ave, West Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church, 600 Jones Hill Rd, West Haven, on Friday at 11 am.
