Obituary for Joseph E Petta, Jr. Joseph E Petta, Jr., 80 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born Monday, July 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph Sr., and Amelia Petta. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, eventually he would move to Hempstead Long Island, before settling in Old Bridge, NJ almost 35 years ago.

Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Joseph worked alongside his father and brother, as a trading specialist on the American Stock Exchange. Joseph was a great cook, and with that talent enjoyed hosting parties for friends and family.

He was an avid Jets fan. Joseph will be missed by all those that loved him. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph Sr. and Amelia, and by his brother Lewis Petta.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Catherine, by his loving children, Joseph E. Petta III and his wife Bonnie, and Mary Kate Romanowski and her husband Robert, by his cherished granddaughter Daisy Petta, by his caring sister Anita Rafferty, and by many loving nieces and nephews, brother in laws, and sister in laws. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 10:15 AM, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, NJ. Private Cremation to follow.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
