Obituary for Heinz Lieder Heinz Lieder, 82 of Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, after a long battle with dementia. Heinz was born Monday, November 11, 1935 in Keil, Germany. Born and raised in Germany during WW II, Heinz would come to the United States at the age of 19.

He would settle in New Jersey, living with the only family he knew here, his Aunt. Not long after coming to the United States Heinz would meet the love of his life, Ann Marie. Soon after meeting the two would marry and start their family.

Heinz was a self employed carpenter. He was a long time parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church in Scotch Plains. In his time Heinz enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and listening to classical music.

Heinz is survived by his loving children, MaryEllen Lieder, John Lieder, and his wife Jo-Anne, and Mark Lieder and his wife Carol, and by his cherished grandchildren, Jessica, and Daniel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at Saint Ambrose Parish located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
