Obituary for Martino J Petosa Martino J Petosa, 75 of Monroe Township, New Jersey died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Born Friday, September 4, 1942 in Staten Island, New York, Martino was the son of the late Peter and Mary Petosa. Born and raised in Staten Island, Martin would go on to graduate from New Dorp High School.

After high school Martin would join the United States Army and would serve his country honorably. Martin was a Superintendent with the New York City Department of Sanitation. After retirement Martin worked in construction.

Eventually Martin would move to Monmouth County, and most recently Monroe Township. Martin enjoyed cooking, reading, and golfing, he enjoyed vacationing, and spending time decorating the home. He also enjoyed spending the winters in Florida where he maintained a home.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Barbara Lieb, by his loving children, Peter Petosa, Tina Marie Petosa, and Heidi Lieb, by his caring siblings, Peter Petosa, and Caroline Ferreri, and by his cherished grandson, Nikko Lieb. In lieu of flowers the Petosa family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Disabled American Veterans A Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday at Brig. General William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery located at Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562.

Interment to follow. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
