HUBBARD Private services were held for Joseph L. Cook, 90, who died Wednesday morning September 19, 2018 at Hospice House. He was born January 5, 1928 at home in Hubbard a son of Joseph and Lucy Rosile Cook and was a lifelong Hubbard resident. Mr. Cook, a 1946 graduate of Hubbard High School served with the United States Army during World War II and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Joseph was a plant manager for Sherwin Williams / US Can for 45 years retiring in 1988 and was formerly the assistant to the executive vice president for B & T Express for 25 years. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2072, the Marconi Club and the Owls Club.

Joseph enjoyed golfing, having golfed in the K of C Golf League, playing tennis, was an avid bowler and was the State Bowling Champion in 1956. Most of all, Joseph loved his family, especially his grandkids and great grandson. He leaves his wife, the former Martha A. Mitchell, whom he married February 16, 1952; three sons, Thomas J. (Lisa) Cook of Canfield, William R. Cook and David E. Cook both of Hubbard; a daughter, Mariann Cook of Hubbard; two grandchildren, Alicia Kosec and Jenna Cook and a great grandson, Jackson.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and James Cook and a sister, Joanne Tucciarone. Interment took place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
