Obituary for Joseph Lawrence Bird On November 29, 2018, Joseph Lawrence Bird succumbed to his battle with cancer at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend. He was born on August 23rd, 1953 in Grand Saline to the late Adrian Bird and Grace Bird.

He was a retired Mechanical Superintendent for Praxair in Hawkins. Joseph was preceded in death by parents and brother, Don Bird. He is survived by his wife, Anita Bird of Hawkins; son, Steven Bird; daughters, Jody Monroe and husband David of Caddo Mills, Tami Isaacs of Hawkins, Kimberlee Anderson and husband Chris of Lindale, Angela Heffner and husband David of Hawkins; brothers, Ray Bird and wife Velta of Winnsboro and Rodney Bird and wife Betty of Hawkins; four grandchildren, Ashley Graves and husband Bubba, Samantha Rose, Dakota Monroe and Savannah Monroe and four great grandchildren, Alyssa, Jasper, Cooper and Sayler.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7th, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy.
