Joseph N. Spiker, 74, of Haines City, FL, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born on August 24, 1944 in Harrisville, PA to Nelson and Jane (Boofer) Spiker. Joseph moved to Haines City in 1996 from Hubbard, OH and was a supervisor at General Motors in Lordstown, OH, for 30 years.

Joseph is remembered as being an extremely generous man and very protective of those he loved, in fact, Joseph spoiled his wife, Judith, doing everything he could for her. He loved going on road trips with his loving wife and eating at fancy restaurants. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and always took the time to take them out to eat.

Joseph, who was a quiet man, enjoyed building furniture, tinkering on his Harley Davidson and was an avid golfer, in fact, even winning a tournament or 2. One of his greatest memories in golf was meeting his Idol, Tiger Woods. One of his family’s most vivid memories of Joseph, was his habit of driving the actual speed limit whenever they would go for a car ride.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Joseph is survived by his wife, of 38 years, Judith; children, Daniel Spiker, Cynthia Clark, Christopher Spiker, Ellis R. Newsome, Ridina Reynolds; sisters, Kay, Pat and Analee; and six grandchildren, all who loved him. Joseph was an amazing, wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be truly missed by all. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Joseph N. Spiker please visit our Sympathy Store.
