Obituary for Joseph Washington, Sr. Joseph Washington, Sr., 80, of Park Hill, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was born July 23, 1938 to Alberta (Tatumn) Hill in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe was a high school graduate.

He joined the United States Army in 1956 and served in Korea during the Vietnam War as a Lieutenant as well as a vehicle driver and a rifle marksman. He received an honorable discharge in 1959. Joe married the love of his life, Eunice Estella Gill, on May 13, 1959 in Tulsa Oklahoma.

They shared over 59 years of life and marriage together. Joe worked at Rockwell International as a router operator until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of New Beginnings Church in Gore, Oklahoma.

Joe loved the Lord and shared his love for him every time he had chance. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Joe will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Hill; brother, Donald Washington; and sister, Anita Hill. Joe is survived by his wife, Eunice Washington of the home; children, Joseph Washington, Jr. of Park Hill, OK, Delores Terry and husband Cloris of Tulsa, OK, Diana Washington of Park Hill, OK, Robert Washington of Little Elm, TX, Deborah West of Jesup, GA, Michael Washington and wife Sherri of Welling, OK; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends that will greatly miss him. A celebration of Joe’s life will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Richard Smith and Michael Washington officiating.
