Obituary for Josephine A. “Jo” Finn (Lolo) Josephine A. Finn, 92, formerly of the Town of Lee and Rome, passed away on February 10, 2018, at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford. She was born March 19, 1925 in Rome, a daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy Maruszak Lolo, and educated in Rome schools. Josephine married Paul K. Finn on September 14, 1946; he died on October 16, 1998.

She worked at Revere Copper & Brass, and then Syracuse University, where she worked as a secretary for the Graduate Program at Griffiss AFB. Josephine is survived by her sons and daughters in law, David and Donna Finn, and Dale and Robin Finn all of Rome; a daughter and son in law, Pamela and Paul Senecal of Rome; her grandsons, Marcus Finn of Rome, Daryl and Jillian Leigh Finn of Westernville, Josh Finn of Rome, and Scott Senecal of Rome; granddaughters, Kari Finn Guglielmo of Rome, and Stephanie Senecal of Rochester; great grandchildren, Grace and Connor Finn, and Jacob and Isabella Guglielmo; her sister, Caroline Sadlik of Whitesboro; sister in law, Frances Lolo of Rome; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Dziwis and Edna Melancon, and brothers, Joseph, Stephen and Frank Lolo.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Villas, Complete Companion Care, and the staff of the Presbyterian Home for all of the love and care given to Josephine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert L. Kelly, on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church.

Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or America Heart Association.
