Joyce Ann Black, 78, of Zanesfield, passed away at 10:29 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on March 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Lewis Wilbert and Irene Eloise (Hisel) Zimmerman. On January 6, 1994, she married Mike Black and he survives.

She is also survived by three children; Terry H. (Barbara) Bateman of Sidney, Deb (John) Whitehead of Bellefontaine, Cyndie Campbell of Marysville, two step-children; Jeanette (James) Gordon of Zanesfield and Curtis (Becky) Black of Huntsville, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, her step-father, Ronald Kenneth Jenkins of Marysville, and her four siblings; Cherie (Ivon) Brugler of Morral, Steve (Martha) Jenkins of Bellefontaine, Christi (Mark) Skidmore of West Mansfield, and Jon (Delores) Jenkins of Zanesfield, and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a proud farmers wife and had worked as an aid at Green Hills Care Center. She enjoyed traveling and camping and loved her dogs.

She also volunteered on the Tri-Valley EMS for a number of years. Pastors Floyd Lundy and Wayne Downing will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Burial will be in Zanesfield Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
