Patricia L. Shirk, 88, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday afternoon, June 1, 2018 at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Logan County on February 10, 1930 to the late Homer and Kathryn (Ross) Johnson. Pat married Bernard Lowell “Bernie” Shirk on April 9, 1950 in Huntsville and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2015.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Becky Hooley, four sisters: Dorothy Ann Martz, Jacqualine Cole, Marilyn Martz, and Cheryl Beech. A 1948 graduate of Huntsville High School, Pat was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church in Bellefontaine, where she was very active and taught Sunday school for many years. Pat is survived by a daughter Kathy (Richard) Kelly and a son Stacy (Arleen) Shirk; four grandchildren: Ashley Houser, Tyson Shirk, Carly Davis, and Tessa Gilmer; five step-grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; a sister Imogene Maxwell of West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.

Pastor Curtis Randolph will officiate a graveside service on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11am at the Huntsville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine. ET Donations may be made to: His Hands Extended Sanctuary 1560 Dialton Rd.
