Joyce L. Youngman Boyce March 29, 1939 – February 26, 2019 Joyce L. Youngman Boyce passed away peacefully at her home on February 26, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1939, in Ogden, Utah. She would have celebrated her 80th birthday this March.

Joyce is the daughter of William Vernon Youngman and Hannah Lenore Evans. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ben Lomond High School and enjoyed a lifetime of treasured friendships from her school days. She later went on to graduate with a B.S. degree in Sociology from Weber State College and briefly worked in the social work field.

Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Summerhays Ward in Layton, Utah. She exemplified faith, strength, and courage throughout many health and personal trials during her life and stood as an example to many through her endurance and persistence to the very end. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, family and friends.

She enjoyed family parties, picnics and campfires, traveling, driving her car, and in recent years going on motorcycle and tractor rides with MoBo, riding as a passenger in the Allen’s old-time cars in the 4th of July parade and side-by-side jaunts through Moab and along the local Wasatch mountains by her home. She loved any adventure and her family will remember many fun memories. Some of her favorite things were her car keys, Coke, shoes, fancy purses, pretty crystal dishes, a DI or garage sale find, Hersey bars, and black licorice.

She is survived by her daughters Michelle (Morris MoBo) Stewart, Layton; Cherese Madsen, Syracuse; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers Kent Youngman, Layton; Dale (Janice) Youngman, Escondido, CA and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vernon M. Boyce; daughter Kristin Lee Madsen Burns; brother V. Lee Youngman and two sisters-in-law Patricia and Sandra Youngman. She also leaves behind her grand dogs Scout, Harley and Minnie whom she loved dearly.

The family wishes to thank her many dear friends, neighbors and ward members throughout the years and her longtime caregivers, Dr. Grant Christian, N.P. Melanie Oliver and South Davis Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Viewings will be held on Monday, March 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
